Product Presentation:
Silicon (Si) is a widely used semiconductor material with significant advantages in electronics and microfabrication. However, its centrosymmetric crystal structure results in a lack of electro-optic, acousto-optic, and nonlinear optical effects, which hinders its development in integrated optics. Lithium Niobate (LN), with its outstanding electro-optic, acousto-optic and nonlinear optical effects, is regarded as a competitive material for high-capacity signal transmission. By integrating Thin-film Lithium Niobate (TFLN) and Silicon Photonics (SiPh), the complementary properties of both materials can be fully utilized, making this heterogeneous structure a key integrated optical material.
